DO YOU MUSIC VIDEO & INTERVIEW OUT NOW!

Open your own doors - Singer, Writer, Actor MOZIAH tells us his thoughts on the music industry, what drives him, some fire books he’s been reading and of course our shared love for animal crossings.

Bg : We're all like locked up in isolation so how have you been kind of coping with that you know what's that been like creatively alive

Moziah: It took a bit to adjust personally. We were working on the concepts for the music video and lock down happened so we had to change the concept completely. I still wanted to find the time to celebrate people. We still wanted everyone to be a part of this and really bring people together so that’s what we ended up doing for the DO You music video. It was important to me to Find a way to still be connected with everyone.

The big thing i've been having to tell myself is that its okay to not be okay during a pandemic, its okay to rest and relax. We are also in an age where everyone looks productive but sometimes that’s just not the reality.

Bg: how does 900K streams feel

Moziah: Crazy. I do this out of my bedroom with people my own age. The fact people are making my music a part of their lives means so much to me and has been a very humbling experience.

Bg: do you have plans to drop music in quarantine?

Moziah: stay tuned. I never reveal surprises until they are ready. But stuff is recorded

Bg: How long have you been making music?

My whole life. I started out in the theatre and music was big in my house. I studied drama in college and my roommate air dropped me Logic . And before i was in a Punk scan band - reggae meets rock music

Bg: where is your family from and do you think your upbringing had an effect on your music style?

Moziah: In a big way. Well we are Caribbean. Very festive and prideful culture. Music let me invest in myself and really show people who I am including the layer of being Haitian. The two tracks that have heavy Caribbean influence are Closer and Madison square park. The Caribbean rhythm makes me feel nostalgic.
